A documentary about video games,
"Indie Game: The Movie" on Wednesday (6/12/2012) is officially distributed
digitally. The film which was once the official selection in Sundance Film
Festival in 2012 it picked up the story behind the creation of three video game
Super Meat Boy, Fez, and Braid.
In his official website: "Indie Game: The
Movie" can be watched via streaming or downloaded directly through
multiple channels like Steam or iTunes. For streaming or downloading, the film
can be obtained by paying U.S. $ 9.99.
"Indie Game: The Movie" tells
the story of three video game creation from the background behind it. There is
a Tommy Refenes the game Super Meat Boy, a game Braid Jonathan Blow, Phil Fish
and the game Fez.
The film not only tells of making a video game from the
technical side but explore the mind of its creator, how they interpret the
characters are made, until the reasons for selecting the video game medium to
convey his message. In some scenes were also seen when they are frustrated with
the way the "child" when released in the market.
Before it was
released today, the film is already getting praise at film festivals such as
Sundance in 2012 for the documentary competition, won the best editing category
for documentary at Sundance, South by Southwest, Hot Docs, and Sheffield Doc /
Fest.
